Pinecrest lake is such a beautiful photoshoot location, but they drain the lake every with which can leave the area with not the most beautiful backdrop. When we arrived the first thing that stood out to us was a large rock formation that would typically be underwater and we thought we'd make the short walk over to take advantage of our luck. Turns our it much farther than we originally anticipated and there was a lot of mud to track though. So much so that jokes were made about it being a boudoir mud photoshoot if one of us had fallen. Once we finally made it we were not disappointed. I loved shooting at this location but it definitely required the prefect weather circumstances to work. Since almost all the snow had melted we were pretty much had the whole area to ourselves since all the tourists either want the lake, or snow. On the walk back we retreaded off the trail to capture some more shots with the forest backdrop. Overall I love the diversity we had to choose from and this lady was pretty much a pro at hitting all those tricky boudoir poses.
